Strelitzia nicolai - a species of ornamental plant from the Strelitziaceae family. Native to South Africa, where it occurs on the shores of lakes, rivers around coastal areas. White flowers resemble a swan's head. Strelitzia is a hardy plant that can be successfully grown in an apartment or in a winter garden. In summer, the plant can be taken out to the balcony, terrace or garden. The plant needs a lot of light, also in winter. In spring and summer, strelitzia should be watered abundantly, but it should not be allowed to stand in water. Reduce watering in winter.
